Job Summary: The Business Development & Account Manager Position is responsible for acquiring new customers for our loyalty services and increasing the business of our existing customers. This is a great opportunity for Recent College Graduates to work with a successful organization and receive mentoring by an established sales team.
Duties Include:
- 80% New Business Development: Follow-up and secure meetings from leads obtained at all NADA attendances, referrals, and other new channels, including cold calls. Present re:member group’s product offerings either through Webinars, on the phone or in person. Secure new business through written contracts. Successfully hand off of new customers to development team. Develop sales quotas and revenue goals and seek to meet/exceed those goals. Conduct on-site training of clients’ employees in use of loyalty programs. Set appointments, visit a minimum of 25 customers per week & make follow-up calls.
- 20% Partner Development: When necessary, develop merchant partners for Customers to increase their overall benefits to Members. This would include, but not be limited to, gas partners, movie theaters, restaurants, etc. Work with clients to determine partnership development needs, create lists of prospective partners, and call on merchants to secure program discounts. Communicate with current and prospective partners about offers for various clients or members. Work with e-commerce manager to make sure partners’ information is updated on client websites
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s degree with business experience preferred, specifically sales
- Automotive experience preferred, Interest and/or experience in the automotive and marketing industries
- Strong writing skills in a variety of genres: business letters, technical and copywriting
- Excellent Interpersonal skills and the ability to handle oneself professionally- in person and on the phone
- Training, teaching or speaking experience
- Ability to juggle multiple projects within clear deadlines
- Excellent in Word, Excel, Internet, and basic accounting procedures
Must be independent thinker, trouble-shooter, self-motivated, detail-oriented person, process-improver, and able to handle multi-task in a fast paced environment, quickly embracing, learning and applying new technology and/or procedures
- Ability to grow and take on additional responsibilities
- Driver’s License, passport, and ability to travel as needed. Travel may reach up to 50% of overall time, however initial travel in first 6 months will be less.
